Louis est né le 1er février 1926 à Allegheny en Pennsylvanie. Il est le fils aîné de Felix et Mary Fazi tous les deux originaires d'Italie et a 2 Frères William et Bruno. Le 13 juin 1944, une semaine après avoir atteint ses 18 ans, l'age légal pour servir dans l'armée américaine, Louis s'engage dans l'U.S. Navy au Naval Training Center de Sampson à New York. Il prend la mer le 18 avril 1945 a bord du LSM 446, un navire de transport et de débarquement. Il servit dans le Pacifique jusqu'à la fin de la guerre et fut libéré du service actif le 5 juin 1946. Son frère Bruno servit sur le théatre d'opération européen dans le 285^th field artillery observation bataillon, il fut engagé dans la bataille des Ardennes et échappa miraculeusement au massacre de Malmedy il est décédé le 19 aout 2010. Son autre frère William servit dans l'Army Air Forces et est décédé il y a tout juste une semaine. Après la guerre, Louis travailla chez westinghouse corp et est finalement décédé le 26 février 2009.

Today we would like to honor the memory of Louis Fazi,

 Louis was born on 1 February 1926 in Allegheny , Pennsylvania. He is the eldest son of Felix and Mary Fazi both from Italy and he have two brothers William and Bruno . On June 13, 1944 , a week after reaching age 18, the legal age to serve in the U.S. Army , Louis enlisted in the U.S. Navy at the Naval Training Center in Sampson , NY. After his training, Louis was assigned to LSM 446, a landing ship and leaves the coast on April 18th, 1945 . He served in the Pacific until the end of the war and was released from active duty June 5, 1946 . His brother Bruno served in the European theater of operation in the 285th field artillery observation battalion , he was engaged in the battle of Bulge and miraculously escaped to the massacre of Malmedy. He died Aug. 19, 2010 . His other brother William served in the Army Air Forces and died there just a week ago (April 10^th 2014) . After the war, Louis worked at Westinghouse Corp. And He finally died February 26, 2009 .
